Error when opening a Virtual machine = Unable to open kernel device ".VMCIDevVMX"

easy workaround is to simply set
vmci0.present = “false” in the vmx-file of all your VMs

The above is for a problem you may come across every once in a with with VMWare Workstation Pro 14,15,16.
